The September/October 2007 issue of the 2600 Connection newsletter is now available. Highlights of Issue #89 include:
SC3, "Southern California Classic Collectors", is your local Classic game collector's group serving the Metropolitan Los Angeles, San Diego and Inland Empire areas. We invite all those who can come to our meetings for play, trade, showing off your precious rares to an appreciative audience, or just to be amongst those who beat you to that Vectrex at one of the local Flea Markets a few months back. Whether you're looking for your first 2600, or an Intellivision Computer Module, we'd like to see you there!
This Saturday the 15th will be time for another SC3 hosted Arcade Party. See pics from the last party here.
The Northwest Classic Games Enthusiasts (NWCGE) is a NW-centric group created in 1997 with the interest of preserving the cultural and historical aspects of the videogames.
This year's event will be held in Portland at the Holiday Inn and conference center on 8439 NE Columbia Blvd. (near PDX airport) and includes free parking! ticket prices at the door (no pre-orders): 10.00= 1 day 15.00= both days 25.00=family 1 day 40.00=Family both days *family up to 5 people saturday september 29th Atari 2600 championships (5pm) sunday september 30th NES Championships (5pm)
The conventions are small in size (about 20-30 people attend the full weekend) so you can really get to know each other. There is a regular group who attend every year, but new faces are always welcome! So if you want to join, please do so.
....and there's no last minute bell in sight. Read on to see why this could be it for the current incarnation of the company.
