...so that *nice* people can talk about *anything* without dickheads
like Kevtris, Mercster, Sutekh and Intv-sama from banning you.

I will be researching this this evening and will have the #rgvc2 name
registered with the irc people.

Sincerely,

Dunric

...#rgvc2 is just too tacky and #wfpc is shorter.

I will be registering #wfpc this evening and the application is
pending. When approved, I will set up a bot called "X2" (which
afternet graciously supplies) to act as channel maintainer.

All those interested in intelligent, creative, fun conversation about
*anything* (even remotely related to) classic gaming, come to #wfpc
where you will NOT be banned just because asshole Ops on #rgvc don't
like you. #wfpc will be about fun, and conversation, and anything you
want, really.

In time, I hope to have around 20-25 Ops for the channel, so apply at:
dunric@yahoo.com. Let me know what interests you about classic gaming,
tell me a bit about yourself, and I'll (most likely) allow you to be
an Op. If, however, you just want to be an Op so you can kick/ban
people you don't like, well, that won't fly with me.

Regulars from #rgvc and #c64, including non-Ops, are encouraged to
join #wfpc and chat about classic gaming, and anything else, really.
Just keep it clean and try to be civil. Flamewars or excessive
flooding will be frowned upon. Keep those to e-mail please.

I will be creating a webpage discussing #wfpc, classic gaming and
other video game related stuff. If it's classic gaming, it's probably
on #wfpc! The rev0lution is here, #rgvc is old hat, so try something
fun, new and interesting: #wfpc

Dear Classic Gaming, Interactive Fiction, Commodore 64/128, Apple
II/IIe, and Atari 400/800/xl/xe Enthusiasts:

The new IRC channel (on Afternet's network), #wfpc, is now being
operated to run specifically during the 6pm-7pm MST/PST timeframe,
M-F, on a trial basis.

Once people start joining, I will expand it to a 24 hour channel.

As is it approximately 6:13pm Phoenix, Arizona time, the channel is
currently open for others to join and discuss the previously mentioned
topics of conversation.

See you there!

Sincerely,
