After 7 1/2 years of ircing on #rgvc, I can say with certainty that
the channel itself is filled with over-the-hill cranks who are so into
themselves they care not for anyone save themselves.
Mercury Hess is the biggest prick this side of Texas. Sutekh thinks
he's the next doctor, and intv-sama is a stuck up jerk. Sinnistarr
consistently repeats himself. Neogeoman thinks he's the next coming of
Albert Switzer.
TedB has a overactive temper, and a bad one at that. Steempy can't
stop insulting people who come on the channel (anyone, not just me).
Fygar is respectable, but he goes along with the "moral" majority of
pricks like Merc, Kevtris and others. Go figure his logic.
No real complaints with Kalla. Rubbertoe is decent. MrNES is ok.
Compute complains too much about his work, or lack of work, for that
matter. WizardWor is okay. Drache is fine. JacksonC has a temper.
Chuck_W and Riff are okay, but Riff can get testy at times. DrDemento
is decent, but needs to learn not to use caps all the freakin' time.
God-zilla I have no complaints about. Neogeoman I've already listed
(an Albert Switzer clone). Daemon, Mike_mjd and Calamari are pretty
cool (probably the few that are on #rgvc). CCC, Eppy, manu are okay,
but Eppy insults too many people and has an overactive ego.
AkmedSC is fine. AlanD knows a lot and speaks less. MrBIOS is okay.
Deleto, Clogger and Hidey are swell. MorbidGuy and Jobf, no real
opinions there. Antman is fine. Gaspode_T needs to chill and lay off
the Wildcats talk. Opivy10 and snap-l are fine. Lennier is okay.
Riffraff thinks he's "The Shit" but he isn't. MrMaddog has a temper
problem. BuckyB and SaintMick are fine. Arton is an asshole. NE146,
Mr. Jelly and _sdc_ I have no real problems or gripes about. SaraAB is
fine. Pip is cool. Luxmundi is also cool. Cyberpunk and Mr. Tube,
never met them.
Hemlock is okay. sap1 never met. arnoud never met. Otaku is okay, a
bit quiet. _Frogger_ is okay. NobleKale never met. From what I recall
of XTrix, she was cool. Sinnistarr I've mentioned. Crossbow and
HolmesAB are decent. Photon says a lot of crazy shit, but he's cool.
Pride and xStrobe are okay. Sedated is an arrogant freak. long-neck
and nibbler are decent. famitsuo is okay. Mylar, stt, daikaiju,
wgungfu are nice and decent people. Riparian I've never met. Zerothis
I've never met.
Crunchy_T and _Wad_ are fine. JAWA has an overactive mouth. NickB33 is
a fucking prick. d_winter is okay. agripino is okay. WeirdMan
is...well...weird but otherwise fine. LA^Eskimo I've never met.
Other than Lee-Steel, RucasRiot, Saltine and PatEwing, I recognize few
other individuals.
In short, #rgvc would be better served by removing most of the
arrogant assholes who are Ops. Many of these individuals get their
"joy" out of kicking or banning people they don't like. They do not
operate the channel, more than they act like arrogant and "all
knowing" dipshits.
There are far more entertaining and better knowledgable Ops in other
groups (who, by the way, aren't nearing 40 and without lives). If you
do visit #rgvc, be prepared for kicking or banning if you say
something opposite of what the "moral majority" wants to hear. If Merc
has a bad day, he'll ban you. If Intv-sama is in a bad mood, he'll ban
you. Neogeoman has a temper, so watch out.
The only real dickheads on #rgvc are most of the ops. AHat is okay,
otherwise. Since I've been on #rgvc (mid-1996), observing their
responses, and *purposely* posting nonsense, I am in a position to
accurately gauge their attitudes and responses. Being a Sociology
major, it has been a pleasure experimenting with this "#rgvc"
experience.
That being said, I want no more of their pompous little channel. There
are far better things to be doing than this little experiment or
conversing with over-the-hill assholes who think they are the shit
(which was supposed to be a fun little "7 or 8 month" study). But when
you like video games, well...
Sincerely,
Paul Panks (a/k/a "Dunric")

Boy howdy.. I agree with you totally there, which is even more meaningful,
since I've actually fucking been there for a lot more of the 7.5 years than
you ever have, nozzle.

Mercury Hess is a prick, all right, but he's our kind of prick.. and he's
heavily armed, so we don't call him a prick to his face. .at least until
he's stopped to reload.
Sutekh is the next doctor, and I have to add he's a damn good snowboarder..
if I had a sister, I'd let him do her.
Sinistarr? Yeah, he's a cockhead, but you get that.
NeoGeoMan? Oh, have you been reading my diary? Wow, he's a new epoch in
manliness, that's all I can say.

I've got plenty of complaints about Kalla.. he has this dreamy accent, he
gets laid regularly, he drives a WRX, what the hell's that about? He's
supposed to be a useless brainless dork like everyone else!
MrNES is OK????? OK, this is proof you're crazy in the Coconut.
Bored now with the play by play

As one of those all singing, all dancing, arrogant know it all dipshits, I'd
have to say "yep, you're right".
We're all pricks, nobody has any fun, we're hated from pillar to post, and
that explains why so many people have been so loyal for so many years... oh
wait, it doesn't.

Now I know you are clearly delusional. ;-)

If you were actually a consistant regular in the channel you'd know
that most of these people *aren't* regulars, some of them haven't been
around for over *5 years*.

??? I'm clearly mystified by this. Merc is probably the most
level-headed person I know. You must have *really* tried hard to get
on his bad side, and that speaks volumes about you Paul.

Again, if you were in the channel for more than 3 days straight,
without an 8 month absence in between you'd realize that Asshat and
MrNES are the *same* person.

Let me get this straight. You, a self-confessed (and I believe at one
point institutionalized) mental case performed an 'experiment' whereby
you push people to the point of anger and then slag them when they do
respond. You should try the same experiment again when real people
are present and see what kind of results you get.
You knowingly type gibberish and irk people to the point where we no
longer want to deal with you and *we* are the ignorant assholes?
Paul, the fact that this post follows last weeks 'What have I been
doing my life, oh yeah... I'm nuts and I tried to kill myself' speaks
volumes.

Yes, Paul... next time listen to the voices and slash along the LENGTH
of the wrist, not across it.

Sin S Tarr,
You are also an asshole. I have intelligence, I am intelligent, and I
scored 142 on my latest ICQ. So shut the fuck up.

I haven't been on #rgvc in quite a while, maybe a few years, but it is good
to see that many of the old timers are still around. Since this newsgroup
has become worthless in the past few years, I might have to head back to
#rgvc to see what is going on. Thanks for pointing out that the channel is
still as good as it used to be.
