Jaguar interactive II
- Frequently Asked Questions -
- Below are brief explanations of some of the questions you may have
about Jaguar Interactive 2.
It's a message board devoted to Atari's 64-bit Jaguar (and Jaguar CD) game console.
The Jaguar Interactive message board was originally hosted by Christian Svensson
in 1994 on the redsun server. In early 1996, the torch was passed to Ken Baum
and JI2 resided on magicalfox until the middle of 1997. The cost of paying for
server space to maintain JI soon became too costly for Ken's taste, and he decided
to pass off the board to Atari Gaming Headquarters, where it has resided to this day.
Generally speaking, Atari Jaguar-related discussion is what everyone's
here for, so it's kosher to keep it that way for the most part. However,
JI2 has developed into quite a community of enthusiasts so occassional
personal posts and off-topic content will find its way to the board.
Basically, we're all adults (or at least we think we are), so we trust that
everyone will use their own best judgement when participating. We do,
however, reserve the right to delete any posts that are either obscene,
derogatory or otherwise goes against the spirit of this message board
(such as spam), but this right is exercised, albeit very sparingly.
Of course. The Lynx in paricular gets a lot of play on this board,
because Atari's color handheld was commercially viable at the same time
that the Jaguar was (well, not exactly, but close enough.) But for
classic Atari discussion about the 2600, 5200, 7800, computers and
arcade games, we recommend you check out AGH's
Classic Gaming Forum.
It most likely didn't appear on the main JI2 page because your browser did
not reload the page -- it simply pulled it out of cache. Just reload your browser
and it should then appear.
Not enough server space and not enough bandwidth to deal with it. If we
were a business like google.com (with its dejanews USENET archive), sure,
we can do it. But we're not. If anyone has an interest in either
selectively or completely archiving the posts here, there's nothing
that would stop them from doing so.
Simply e-mail us!
We will gladly add just about any Jaguar-related website (fan sites, info pages, developer
sites, etc.), but there are a few and conditions with respect to site listings on JI2.
